The GloSAT project got fully underway with our kick off meeting in February. Hosted by the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading, this was the first opportunity for everyone to get together, even though work on the project had already started back in the autumn.

Members of the ACRE project were able to join us for the first afternoon, so the meeting started with an overview of the GloSAT project and the initial work on data rescue.  Sessions on the following days were a combination of bringing everyone up to speed on each other’s work and discussing the finer details of the cross-collaborations required to deliver the projects objectives.

Everyone left the meeting knowing there is a lot of work to be done over the coming months and years, and looking forward to collaborating to achieve our goals.
